Reply WebAll I remember is that TF2 saving .tgas into its gamedir screenshots folder had nothing to do with the overlay - it used to do that back in 2007-2008, waaaay before Steam itself could take screenshots. Then they just made it so both the game and the overlay take a screenshot at the same time once Steam got its screenshot functionality.
