WebJun 16, 2024 · It;s the blue wire on the engine side of the fan clutch connector. The wire is green/turquoise/whatever on the fan side depending upon model/age/color blindness/BAC. Shave the wire casing off (don't cut the wire) and connect it to ground. If the fan starts fanning, the clutch is good. No fanning, no worky. WebJun 26, 2024 · If you want to test if your fan clutch works, you can do a temporary blue wire mod. Tap into (don't cut) the blue wire on the engine side of the flan clutch connector and ground it. That will fully engage the clutch. It is not instantaneous, though. ....because of the whole visco thing. Just Google "blue wire fan mod."
WebAug 6, 2009 · Best way to check it is to wait till its 100 degree's outside again. Sit at idle for a few minutes running the a/c. Then pull out on the road and accelerate.
